For more than 20 years, dance companies DK-BEL and 6th Sense, directed by Sophie Bulbulyan and Cécile Martinez, have been creating choreographic pieces featuring dancers with and without disabilities.
With their new inclusive creation “C'est Beau !”, scheduled as part of the Cultural Olympiad, Paris 2024, the artistic team explores the notion of Beauty according to the poet Charles Baudelaire, for whom Beauty is linked to the bizarre, chaos, pain and fragility of Beings.
This piece borrows from these four notions by adding "L'Envol" and thus becomes a strong symbol of optimism and unity.
The piece, performed by 12 dancers from different countries and cultures, with and without disabilities, offers a particular, singular and sensitive vision of Beauty.
